Current interim Dean of the Faculty Carol Folt was named to a full five-year term as dean by College President James Wright on Monday. Wright finalized the decision over the weekend after consulting with the Board of Trustees, he said.

When Felida Rodriguez ‘09 skied into a tree at the Dartmouth Skiway last Tuesday, she shattered her chin, jaw, cheekbones and right eye socket and fractured her right femur and left clavicle. Rodriguez has spent the past week recovering at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Seventeen years after interning on Capitol Hill, James Brodbelt Harris ‘92 hopes to return not as an intern, but as a congressman. Harris, who interned for Representative John R. Kasich (R-Ohio) the summer after his freshman year at Dartmouth, will run in the 2006 Republican primary for the congressional seat of the 18th district of Ohio. He will square off against six-term incumbent Bob Ney (R-Ohio), who is currently embroiled in the Jack Abramoff bribery scandal.
