To the Editor:
Standard business e-mail systems, such as Outlook or Lotus Notes, allow users to have organization address books and all the features of BlitzMail plus many more features (“BlitzMail survives tough technological competition,” Feb. 24). Using a standard business e-mail system keeps students and staff in sync with the business world with which they will communicate. These systems add significant capability and productivity to the user.
There is a cost to changing and an opportunity cost not to change.
My background includes working in various industries and I have used both Outlook and Lotus Notes.
BlitzMail capabilities are only a small fraction of what business e-mail systems provide.
If you have never used another system, then you don’t know what you are missing.
