To the Editor:

Upon finishing up coaching another girl's volleyball season, I was struck suddenly by something: Where are all the women coaches and officials for women's sports? In 17 matches this fall we had only one woman official at only one match. Additionally, only five of the 14 teams in our high school league are coached by women. An interesting study or story might be an investigation into the cause of this lack of women, who may have played and benefited from sports, involved in coaching or officiating. Where are they?
